Hi

Well it might be a little while before we know definitely what will be where in the area's airshows, but here's a general rundown on what's usually in Southern California every year, in the time frame you mentioned:

March
Riverside Municipal airport's airshow. Mostly warbirds, with a Heritage Flight and Legacy Flight thrown in as well.

NAF El Centro
A bit far from LA, but a great spot to see the Blue Angels fly in great lighting conditions. It's their 1st show of the season. Good mix of warbirds, jets and aerobatics.

April
There SHOULD be one at Pt Mugu in 2009, aka Naval Base Ventura County. The last one, in 2007, which did feature the F-22, was held in April, but still a bit of a guess at this point. Mostly military stuff, with warbirds and aerobatics mixed in.

May
Chino Planes of Fame airshow. Mostly warbirds, but usually at least one single ship demo, with Heritage and Legacy Flights.

Keep your eyes on this site, and AirshowBuzz.com for further info as the year progresses. The big demo teams' schedules are usually released in December, so that is usually one of the first listings of the upcoming year's events. Then in March/April a lot more info comes out. Single ship demo team schedules are released beginning in April/May. Hope this helps,

Brian

I have to agree with Brian.

Keep an eye on this website at the first of the year.

There are many airshows in the planning stages around the world, but dates are usually not announced until the ICAS convention in December.
